Have to say the car driver deep with no snorkel I could see was one very very lucky person
As lucky as the beemer submariner drivers, after a flash flood, immobile under the Dudley St bridge, who couldn't get out of their cars with central locking, electric windows and sunroofs without 'outside assistance' back in the day...............?

WOW!!! We are experiencing 40 km/hr + winds at the moment.

About 30 minutes ago, there was a loud bang and the house shook for a couple of seconds. At first I thought a large tree had come down on the house, but this was not the case, thankfully.
I'm now thinking it was some type of seismic occurrence.

I don't think it was an RAAF inspired event either. Much too severe.

OK, 'twas a 'quake. About 15 km NW of us, at a depth of 10 km, with magnitude of 3.

Strewth, I'd hate to be near a Mag. 7!!!!!!

I was on holidays in Christchurch in 2011,during the earthquake.

Not much fun and something that I will never forget.

It certainly scared the living daylights out of us.

Too right it did, Ian and I was home alone!............................................ ..... (you can make what you like from that.)

The relevant Dept. has now pinpointed the epicentre only 4.5 km away from us, in an ESE direction, on the Lake Samsonvale shoreline. No wonder it was noisy here.

I wonder if it woke 'The Antichrist' up?
