Big storm hitting us on Sunshine Coast right now, with BOM warning of hail and havoc. We're all battened down.

Storm just passed over us, all hiss and vinegar. Not as bad as yesterday, 59 mm total both days, so far. I can see blue sky. My chooks were that pleased to get out for a day, they just stayed in it. Scruffy looking now.

I noticed on the radar a lot of black colour in the storm hitting the south side. You blokes seem to cop it a lot.

Hughie. can stop now on the Central Coast 170mm in Gosford day before yesterday and looks like some storms heading towards the coast now.
Avoca Lagoon was bulldozed out to the ocean yesterday much to the joy of the waiting boogie boarders as it floods the sewers if too high.

we cancelled Minnie Waters and are now atShoal Bay camping in the rain with another lot coming. After rain at Dorrigo and Kempsey.

Getting a bit sick of it now.

A moderate storm here with 15.6 mm dropped. Our two house tanks, 22000 litres each, are now only 20.32 cm (8 inches) from being full, after getting down to just below two thirds.

The two 22000 litre off the machinery shed are at half and the one off the car shed is two thirds, as we put some water into it three weeks ago.

This afternoon got 16mm, small hail, lots of lightning, but none real close, in about 20 minutes. Nearest BOM station got 4mm!

Another 33 mm overnight has the house tanks chockers! We still need another 150 mm, or more, for our dam to look half decent.

We had another 32mm overnight, following 36mm in the previous 24 hours, so 68mm in 48 hours is pretty good.
We had a violent lightning storm during the night, with strikes quite close. Animals very jumpy.
Also found and fixed a leak in one of our downpipes yesterday morning before the rain, which explains why the main tank had not been filling as fast as expected in previous rain.
Another rainy day would really top us up, but it doesn't seem likely from the forecast. The local dam is still well down despite the rain.

Here in Westlake we have been having good rain fall , not too heavy so not running off , but enough to fill the tanks . The storms have been all noise & light show with no hail . I think we are only getting the edge of the storms . Grass which I thought was beyond it is starting to green up .

I hope all who encountered yesterday's storms got through OK!

We eventually got 30 seconds of small hail and 2.8mm of rain.

I reckon Bob10 got a fair old drenching.
