Grumpy old buggers thread

1st of July - Changes to Medicare telehealth items took me and many/most Medical practices by surprise. The item we have been using disappeared and all our software providers also got caught. The Update for July I applied late last night did not remove the items that went AWOL.

Call to Medicare was fun. The gent clearly had lots of the same call and happily took five minutes to show a very hidden page link to 25 June which on page 13 did give me some details[bigwhistle] Yep I read 12 pages of rubbish to get the needed single line!:bat:

I spent 5 minutes listening to irrelevant information on the automated telephone answering machine at HMRC. When finally spoke to someone was transferred 3 times before reaching someone who could assist. Then was not able to help as I could not prove I was who I said I was and did not have their account number to hand. All up wasted 15 minutes. Reason for call was am attempting to pay a tax bill but their system will not take my cash

900 changes to Medicare, I read, with most people in the dark about how they are affected. Could be some very grumpy people in coming months as people realise.

BTW, my 4 year old kid really didn't rectify it, her mother did. She hasn't even got her BSc yet so that would be a bit silly.

Saw a Grumpy Old bugger today. Behind me in the left hand lane in a three lane road. He start hitting the horn before the lights turned green[biggrin] I had two in front of me so not a lot I could do to oblige him. Next set of lights the same. My tolerance for ******* gave way shortly late to a finger from me which had his blood pressure tablets fail and the extra red to the existing red face of rage was clear[biggrin]. Funnily the policeman in the right lane way laughing as much as I was before he pulled in behind him a few hundred metres later and gave a short blast on his siren. I was in my quirky EV which does have a front and rear camera. Police didn't need it[bigrolf] Suspect he was 4foot nothing and 80ish. Not at all sure he would have been happy to chat face to face [thumbsupbig]
