I hear you, and to top it all off, months ago I bought a 50cm floor fan that I put in the kitchen doorway to cool the house, it came from the big red autoparts shop of all places, but was a good price, unfortunately it only has a 1m power cord, so I had to buy a 1m extension, I still get grumpy every time I see it.

That stuff belongs on Christmas cards, nowhere else.
    Thanks, but no thanks.

1M? Lucky if it reached the floor. Muppets. And I didn't know you could get 1M extensions. Also muppets.

Nobody deserves that. Not even Ian. Having done five seasons of taking coaches up there, Buller, Hotham, Buffalo, Falls, you can keep it. Having to fit wheel chains while everyone sits in the warm laughing at you? Bugger that. To think, I did a four day DECA course for the privilege. I didn't renew the "Snow Licence" ( Hazardous Area Authority ) when it came due.
It occasionally snows here, where I live. Next time it does I'm out of here. Although I'm probably silly enough to move to Stanthorpe.

Twice in my lifetime I have raced up to Stanthorpe to see the overnight snow falls, once when the kids were young and again a couple or three years ago. On both occasions the snow had melted before I got there.

Current circumstances have me confined to barracks quite a lot. I don't watch TV, so I use YT a bit. Funny how I react to things. For example, if a vid has in it's description that "ten things I don't know about blah" I won't watch, How do they know what I don't know? Arrogant.

Then there's "The ultimate guide/list " for something, especially if it's a follow on from another "ultimate". Get a dictionary.

Best one is "You won't believe" what we did, found etc. OK, if I won't believe it then there's no point in me watching it, is there? Or, am I being too literal? I don't think so. Words need to mean something.

I know they are all little channels clamouring for my attention, like puppies in a pet shop, but hyperbole ( hyperbowl? ) is not the way.

YT can be great though. I have a small group of "creators" ( dumb word, like "influencers" ) that I follow. Two I know are excellent teachers for my increasing interest in classic HiFi restoration. Pretty soon I'll summon up the courage to try, once the radiotherapy wears off...

A few years ago I made the same mistake and had to go all the way to Tenterfield to see any, and even then it was just patches in the forest, also saw a small snowman. A 12 hour round trip that day, thankfully the D2's have good seats.

Wow I thought I was in full on grumpy mode, but you're leaving me in your wake, John.
My little annoyance involves inconsiderate, lazy cretins.

The trolley bay was immediately to my right.

So far I have only managed to find a white 1m extension and the fan cord is black, so that also adds to the annoyance.
