I appreciate that under emergency response conditions, there is greater risk, but that was rediculous.
That "driving" was more akin to what I'd expect from a 14 year-old criminal, trying to outrun the law, not a professionally trained policeman. Does he have absolutely no understanding of physics?
    Probably ran out of donuts.

Ran out of talent and brains, supposedly a responsible member of the community. What if the car on the street had been half a second earlier?
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

My ndn is a copper. Sergeant now, but a few years ago he was telling me about how he got his “silver “ police licence. This allows them to respond to situations where they need to exceed the road laws, but does not allow them to participate in pursuit, there’s the gold licence for that.

He told me that they spent the week out in the Macedon ranges, through the towns etc, driving around in unmarked Passats and Beemers at 80 km in 60 zones , no lights or sirens. Now, I have watched him. He couldn’t drive sheep. But he has the license that makes him exempt road laws that can cost you and me money and points. He says that the exemption doesn’t apply to him in his private car. I’d like to believe him.

They’re no better than anyone else.

Diesel prices are high here because many garages are now out of normal diesel, they only have Premium Diesel, which will cost anywhere from $2.30 to $2.65/L.
The local around here has never had Premium so they have no Diesel at all.

    Lots of panic buying.

The RACQ did an article about the difference between truck and premium diesel and found that apart from possibly some anti foaming agent in the premium there was no difference.

Apart from the price, of course.

I wonder how long before 'Marketing' comes out with different versions of power, for EVs?

"Our Wires are Corrosion Free for Cleaner Energy".

" Avoid Solar Damage to Your Battery. Free Range Turbine Power Available Here".

"Put a Tiger in Your Terminals" (apologies to ESSO)
