Where does your profile name come from?

    Hey All,

Am enjoying my Friday to date as have had rather a tough week, as we all get at some times . Was thinking of a thread and thought of this one as it does intrigue me as to some of the profile names and where they come from or how they were made up. Mines pretty simple ( bit like myself ) name is Stephen, born in 1968, so Stevo68 with numberplates SHC68 which is my initials. So feel free to share

    Regards

    Stevo

Mine came from gaming, as I wanted something that would stand out a little, and it's sorta stuck.

I've got two Defenders .. a white 110 Hardtop and a 110 TD5 Extreme. Before I got the extreme we always referred to the hardtop as "the landy". When I bought the extreme (grey in colour) we had to distinguish between the two so the new one was called "the greylandy" ... it stuck .. so much so that I named our website www.greylandy.com

Yeah I know .. not very imaginative!!!

Mine came from going camping in the middle of the bush with a heap of mates, we would get "Maggoted" at night and play hard during the day.

I started using the name Bluetongue since I came back from o/s a few years back... I used to have a website so we could share our photos... and it was a good-aussie-name for a lizard.

Then, last xmas I bought myself a cobar-blue defender from a bloke in qld who was a lizard/reptile guy working at one of the zoos up there. When I started up on AULRO it wasn't taken so I grabbed it.

As in casinos, horse racing, etc., e.g., "The Department of Gaming and Racing serves the NSW government and community by regulating the liquor, gaming, racing and charities sectors." ?
