I have a month to sort a present

Hmm, I just realised it's the 21st. By the 21st of next month I probably should have sorted a 50th (gold) wedding anniversary present for my wife.

I have no idea what to buy and the 'net is of no help - they suggest soppy stuff neither I nor Elisabeth would like. I can't afford a gold Rangie - and she wouldn't want a Landy of any kind (she never liked driving the P38A and she's never wanted to drive the L322).

Maybe a signed set of divorce papers would make her happy!

Ahh, maybe a golden retriever? Too bad we have a black labrador. (:

A battery mitre saw, you've got a month to recolour it.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

Look, I may be a romantic fool but, what about a double swag and a nice camping weekend, or longer, away?

I suggested a new iRON but she said she's has enough of the old one. Ditto with a new apRON.

Pfft! Elisabeth doesn't camp - a 3-star hotel is camping to her!

    Hi

    Take her out to dinner.
Do better than the local vinyl table cloth cafe.
Make sure you have a booking as it looks much better to say "I have a booking". That way she knows you planned it and didn't think of it that day on the spur-of-the-moment :-)
Apparently lobster is more available at the moment due to COVID-19 :-)

Have a box of nice chocolates hidden at home for when you get back.
    Not Cadburys :-)

Hmm, we'll be in Auckland or Rotorua about then. I had better hunt down a good cafe or fish and chip shop.

I did suggest MOTAT Aviation Display Hall Collection|Museum of Transport and Technology|MOTAT|Auckland or the NZ Maratime Museum New Zealand Maritime Museum but she said No!

I concur. And, say it with flowers. Those funny other creatures don't need megabucks spent - just a few nice thoughts put into action!
