Its already topping the weir at Bourke, and is still rising at Tilpa, so it does not have to fill all the billabongs on the way down.
It's running a banker @ St George
How far will it get before it disappears , Bourke ?
By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

Flow commenced at Bourke a week ago and present flow rate is 11551 Mld
I'm a bit confused about the overall status, will have to dig deeper

As long as they don't let the irrigators turn those bloody pumps on.
Refer River Height data for Balonne R at St George * (auto) for river level plot of Balonne River at St George. Level peaked at 11.83m on 27th at 0830hrs. Currently (2010hrs 28th) at 10.85m and falling.
Refer River Height data for Darling R at Bourke for river level plot of Darling River at Bourke. Level currently at a very flat 'peak' of 5.54m and has been holding that level since 0615hrs on 26th.
Further down the Darling,
Louth started to rise from 0.66m at 2000hrs on 24th and at 2100hrs on 28th was steady at 4.64m
Tilpa started to rise from 0.06m at 0300hre on 28th and at 2200hrs on 28th was at 3.38m and still slowly rising.
All this flow in the Darling is below minor flood level.
Water moves slowly in these western streams, it'll probably be another day or two before it reaches Wilcannia, if it even gets that far.
Not much slope!
If you look at the BOM website for each state there is a section on Rainfall and river conditions, and the river conditions map (for detail look at the area not the whole state) shows the location of all the gauges with a symbol for flood conditions, and clicking on them gives you the details and a plot of the last four days river height.

I actually put the slope figures of the Darling River on this forum somewhere , sometime last year.
I think it was in regards to pumps around Bourke being able to actually draw the river "uphill".
I've tried to find it because it is interesting in that the Darling is one of the oldest and slowest rivers in the world. my search leads me no-where.
....but it appears the irrigators have already turned their pumps on , regardless of how much actual flow goes downstream.
Water reached Wilcannia at midday on 5th and is currently flowing at 5713 Ml/d. Still increasing but starting to taper off.
Bourke has had a boost with water from northern NSW and is currently flowing at 15886 Ml/d.
Menindee is 150km D/S from Wilcannia and if it reaches there, the lakes will suck up a fair bit of it.
Good to see some flow back in the old river though.

My local river (Talbragar), which was bone dry a fortnight ago, is around three metres at the moment - next door sent me a picture of our bridge this morning, with the water just below the deck. Its falling at the moment, but I think there was a lot of rain up above Dunedoo, which will be here in a couple of days. Unlike the Darling, it is not a slow flowing river.
