I may be all of the above. And I know there is a lot of fear out there about the AZ. But the chances of having a bad reaction, if you are reasonably fit, and have no chronic diseases , is close to zero. I see it , with those odds, as my responsibility to get vaccinated. For the greater good. You have do what you think is right.

"World’s Most Vaccinated Nation Is Spooked by Covid Spike
Seychelles has seen a surge in coronavirus cases even though much of its population was inoculated with China’s Sinopharm vaccine.
"
Not all bad news just not as good as hoped for "Dr. Mulholland said the initial reports from Seychelles correlate to a 50 percent efficacy rate for the vaccine, instead of the 78.1 percent rate that the company has touted."
Off topic- Small Pox killed millions and scarred survivors for life (cdc)"Egyptian mummies suggests that smallpox has existed for at least 3,000 years. The earliest written description of a disease like smallpox appeared in China in the 4th century CE (Common Era). Early written descriptions also appeared in India in the 7th century and in Asia Minor in the 10th century. 3 out of every 10 people who got it died. People who survived usually had scars, which were sometimes severe."
My pathetic History suggested "English doctor Edward Jenner noticed that milkmaids who had gotten cowpox were protected from smallpox. Jenner also knew about variolation and guessed that exposure to cowpox could be used to protect against smallpox."
My new bit is Dr Jenner as a child was part of an experimented to test a Turkish treatment which was found by Lady Mary Wortley Montagu in 1715! If she had been a man everyone would know her name! Turkish women - not men- scratch their children with a needle type item after it had touched a person with smallpox. The kids got a small fever and then never got small pox. Worlds first inoculation brought back to England. The refusal to use it by the men -medical religious and racist reasons, was then overcome by the daughter inlaw of the King (George the 1st) in about 1730 who used it on her daughters. Dr Jenner was part of a test after that. The test were conducted on prisoners and orphans.
Dr Jenner obsevation of milk maids lead to Vaccs ( Latin for cow) became our vaccinations. The first anti vaxxers were men, the quacks, priests and racists [biggrin]
in "Ten Drugs- How Plants, Powders, and Pills have shaped the history of Medicine - Thomas Hager.
Small pox was eradicated after 1977 Mr Maalin in Somalia was the last to get wild small Pox. 1978 Janet Parker died after a Doctor doing experiments stuffed up in a room above where she worked!
Real trivia is the US now has Millions of doses of Smallpox vaccine just in case it comes back. The other bit is as it was eliminated so long ago almost none of us have any resistance to it at all [bigwhistle]
