Those who do break the rules and are sent into HQ quarantine are charged about $3000 for 14 days, I believe.

Thanks, as soon as I posted the question I realised they wouldn't punish those who did no wrong [ or at least hoped that to be true] So that would be $ 3000 for quarantine plus $ 4000 for the infringement. Expensive little trip.
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Even so Bob, but will it ever be paid? Maybe they take kidneys instead. Forcibly.

Glad Sweetpea indoors isn't doing one as she has only one to start with. Poor dear, she suffered for all her young years until a SA Specialist put his finger on it. Some times I wish it had been her mouth.

It's the lack of concern for others that worries me, sometimes. And yes, it happens everywhere. It seems the old fashioned values of fair go and look after the less fortunate , and take responsibility for your actions belong to a different era. We'll probably never know why those who disregard the COVID restrictions did so, some probably thought they had a valid reason, some just thought they would get away with it. But not one seems to have stopped to think of the consequences of their actions. We still don't know the full story of the first two, who came up for work. Perhaps they were told they could, but whatever happened, we must hope that the reason is sorted , and doesn't happen again.

Yep, I'm with you, under the heading of SELFISH INCONSIDERATION.

It's a catch 22. Don't vaccinate and outbreaks will create new variants that increase the Ro exponentially. Do vaccinate and people may engage in high risk activity, like ignoring lockdown restrictions. Happy days.
