It was a cockup alright, but can't put it here because it is definitely political. You'll find it in CA.

At the end of the day I blame the media of all sorts that kept it on the boil & the so called "experts" didn't seem to have or want to have the Ammo to challenge it.
Too many people involved & to-ing & fro-ing with different opinions. At one stage all one seemed to see on TV was experts tripping over each other.
That is the way I saw it, Right or Wrongly.
The experts are still out today debating whether Sydney will have a lock down, at one stage yesterday evening one commercial news site had an epidemiologist saying lock them all up whilst another had an exclusive with the NSW Health Minister saying there was not a call to lock down at that stage. Click bait mostly....

Not quite right Des. But I'll leave it at that. BTW, the Agricultural Minister for NSW has been reported as testing positive, and the Health Minister is in isolation, NSW Parliament has been delayed sitting until 10.30, and Parliamentary workers are banned from attending. Apart from that, everything is going according to plan. :Thump:
From cornwall UK....
A few lessons in basic epidemiology here that might be applied this scenario...remembering that most there were supposed to be vaccinated... but of course can be carrying the disease as stated above.

NSW cases: Graph that proves Sydney should calm down
I'm not saying that if cases should escalate then a lockdown isn't a sensible idea, just that it needs to be a measured response, there seem to be plenty of "experts" telling anyone who will listen that we all need to be locked in our homes at the moment quoted in the media to get clicks.
