Only a small part of NSW is locked down. There are some restrictions in other areas (I believe) but this doesn't preclude a lot of normal activity.
Travelling from the lockdown area to Newcastle (Hunter Valley Region) is definitely a no no.

You're getting your cases confused. The NT mining case was caught in Qld hotel quarantine. The WA lady who came from Sydney did not have to quarantine when she flew in. She tested negative when she flew in but subsequently became positive.Quote:
