I hope the Cops and the ADF are out in force on the weekend to Stop and lockdown these idiot anti- facemask and everything else protesters in Melbourne before they can even get started . :coplight::rocket::2up: .
I think everybody has just about had enough of these ******* .
I'm not so sure that 'winter' is a major factor in it's resurgence.
Looking around the world, you can see that many places are experiencing the 'rebound' many referred to at the beginning of the pandemic.
eg. Japan/Germany/and other places are experiencing a rebound situation, where numbers can be higher than the first wave(see Japan).
In Melbourne, I reckon the specific (but subtle) mentions of the meat industry may have something to do with it.
People have a lot to do with it. Tired of behaving and sneaking to see .... its clear all over the world I think. Sacred and frightened- staying home and distancing. A bit over it and not then resurgence starts as active people with light symptoms just go out and spread it widely again.
FYI here is the new Qld Border Directions 11, which applies from 1am Saturday.
There are new aspects to this.
It includes a new map specifying the area along the border in which residents can still get a pass to enter Qld. Byron is outside the border zone.
Also specifies who are 'essential workers'. For example, it appears construction workers are okay if they only go to building sites. But its a bit complicated.
Qld Police say only people with a pass will be allowed over the border after 1am - no exceptions.
Predicted to be a huge delay at the border today, so don't delay if you need to get back.
