Welcome to the Covid World. Things are going to be different for a while, for everyone.

Months of virus restrictions ahead for NSW, even if lockdown lifts (thenewdaily.com.au)

Simple. exactly the same. There's no reason to believe they wouldn't. How would you have handled the Great Depression, World War one, the great Flu epidemic? You would have handled it because you had to. You would have had no other choice.

Vaccinations are voluntary, not compulsory, which is why you have to sign paperwork before getting jabbed, so they can't force aged care workers to get vaxed, but they can say you have to be vaxed to work in aged care, which is a federal government responsibility.

The staff should have been offered the jab at the same time as the residents, I think.

I liked this comparison of the standard of masks required in various situations.

All the masks, except the last, are designed to prevent noxious agents entering the body and causing harm.

The whole point of Covid mask wearing is to stop the spread of the virus when the wearer exhales, coughs, sneezes, etc.

It's not a comparison because the author doesn't understand that basic fact.

    cheers, DL

Visitors have been restricted from entering approx. 50 hospitals in Greater Sydney as more than 500 healthcare staff have been placed in isolation after an unvaccinated nurse tested positive for covid. Staff will need to do double shifts, and there is no surge workforce to cover shortfalls. Five wards at North Shore Hospital are closed. CHO Kerry Chant says 6 people are in intensive care, two are on ventilators, and some young patients have been hospitalised. Just want to wish Sydney and the health people all the best. Not the news any one wants to hear.

Would be instructive to learn of their - pts - Vit d levels...

1 in 4 COVID patients hospitalized while vitamin D deficient die - Israeli study | The Times of Israel I'm inclined to take the source country seriously, as they have the advantage of a high jabbing rate with a quality 'vaccin' and detailed recording. Not all their new infections are 'UN-jabbed'. Oops.

Not only, but I'm betting the 'PTB' would prefer not to risk the 'Narrative' by permitting any of those incarcerated to be treated with "Lord Voldemort". a.k.a. ivermectin, though the best time.... early, viral-replication, has passed.

We've got a child's wedding in a few months, northern area of NSW, but I'm terrified of what Gladys will spring. Another snap lockdown / enforced quarantine etc, will financially destroy us if caught out.... by the fake PCR "tests".

Yes, the surgical mask is indeed a 'Spit & Dribble' barrier, and works a treat as such.

“The good news is that there are multiple choices available- :xxx xxx xxx xxxx xxxxxx , and of course oral Vitamin D, zinc, azithromycin etc. These reduce the severity to such an extent that this virus did not need to become a public health crisis.”

For seasonal influenza, mortality is usually well below 0.1%. However, mortality is to a large extent determined by access to and quality of health care.

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19): Similarities and differences with influenza

0.1% of people who get influenza die - not clear what percentage of those have had fluvax.

    So, 4.0/0.1 = 40.
Interesting stat out of the UK on the news today - in the first week of June approx 90 people died in the UK from Covid but approx 1150 died from the flu and pneumonia.
