Yep Mike, that is fine once you are in the country but first one has to get there. Academic really I have never wished to visit the USA.
Re - reading that release it appears to only apply to current residents of the US anyway.

Not a surprise. One of the more..'Interesting' blogs i follow is a Doctor, a GP. Recent light-bulb moment last month when he recalled some of his patients who came down with an odd 'flu, Nov/Dec last year. Not the usual paced progression of symptoms, but what he describes as 'Slam-dunk', some in less than a day from 101% fine... to utterly miserable, and that before nightfall. All recovered eventually, though were knocked sideways for a long(er) while. With hindsight, he reckons he was seeing isolated cases of Beer- Virus back then.
Another thing about this one. Back in the Dark Days of SARS, the US - and no doubt other countries - were looking at seeing what "useful" stuff they could extract /learn / weaponize from it.
Anyway, they shut down their program. But the program was not entirely stopped, despite (alleged) Executive Orders, and that relevant gov. dept out-sourced the work to.... No prizes for guessing !

To which I'd add... (Highest security L4 Bio-Labs) "Nothing is fool-proof, - Fools are incredibly ingenious"

the people are generous , nothing is too much trouble for them , they are not like the perception we get over the tv waves.
They have projected that image for Donkey's years so in that respect they are their own worst enemies.
Its a worry that 21% of about 3000 people tested in New York supermarkets were positive. Fortunately, supermarket shoppers are not a representative sample of the population, plus New York is the world epicentre of the pandemic right now. Still, it does make it more likely that the person behind us in the supermarket could infect us. This could lead to a second wave of infections, as in Singapore, once restrictions are lifted.
