If you are asking about perceptions rather than official classifications, I believe there is a complicated sliding scale that determines what you see as old.

When you are a child, probably anyone old enough to have children of their own is old.

When you are part of the workforce, anyone who has reached or is approaching retirement age is old.

When you retire, anyone was born in the decade before you is old.

When you are an octogenarian, anyone who is close to 100 is old.

By the time you get to 100, there are so few people older than you, that you might concede that you are getting close to being old yourself.

This mathematical formula might to make it easy to work out who is old.

Your age subtracted from 110, divided by 2.73 = age gap that makes a person old.

Gap = (110/your age)/2.73

Regardless of where anyone may fall on whatever spectrum, I heard he was saying the opposing party was maneuvering to keep things closed, strike added fear and manipulate the situation to their advantage and to his father's detriment, rather than actuslly saying the entire global thing was a plot to specifically change leadership in the November elections. If we can't hold on to at least a string of accuracy in reporting all this, I truly don't know where that leaves us collectively. It's more than fatiguing to have to sort it all out every time anyone says anything these days.

I think media around the globe never let the truth get in the way of a good story. We have an old friend who lives in Diamond Head, MS and it's quite apparent, when talking to her, that the Aussie press don't always tell the full story or even the correct story when reporting on US events.

I don't think he needs anyone else's help to get kicked out. He is doing a grand job all by himself.[biggrin]

The US has by far the world's worst statistics on coping with C-19, so it really doesn't matter what excuses they make, the whole world can see their incompetence.
