    Might be interesting.

apparently many nomads from NSW are moving up into Northern NSW coastal towns , waiting for the Queensland border to open , might be good for the local towns.

Will see if they can do more than 80kmh as they race for their favourite spots once the gates open.

July 10 is the mooted date , I wonder how many caravans will share with the trucks which have had a few months of road freedom.

There's an M! observation lookout just near me, why , I don't know , which I might go and sit at, the 10th being friday , saturday may be good to observe.

Research breakthrough, coronavirus may not be primarily a respiratory disease, but full blown COVID-19 may be a disease of the vascular system, that preys on weaknesses in our blood vessels. It means targeting treatments in early stages of the disease needs to be re thought.

Blood vessels, not the lungs: COVID-19 may not be a respiratory disease
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

I wonder if VIC/ NSW continuing lack of adherence to social distancing rules especially with these BLM protests now happening will create a new wave of infections that will see the Qld, Sa, NT and WA remain closed for longer than expected.

I've noted a lot more Vic rego plates around here (Ballina/Byron) in the last few weeks, although they could be new residents that haven't transferred their rego yet, too.

I'm on the road each day between Tweed/Murbah and Ballina and can't say I've noticed caravans, but this weekend could be interesting.

The Southern Rocklobster industry (Vic, Tas & SA) came to a standstill in early Jan from memory, no market apart from domestic.

I'd had previous experience of what this meant in the past as a director of the tri-state body; a bit with SARS and a bigger bit with bird flu.

Essentially means that every restaurant in China is closed for 'a period'.

There is no way that intelligence on the ground in China didn't notice and report what was going on there.

And people in the other states are angels, right? Corona Virus
I've seen what Qlders are doing, they sure as hell aren't social distancing, and mum lives in Alice Springs and has told me it's business as usual there now.
State of residence has nothing to do with basic human behaviour, some people think, some don't and some just don't care.

NSW has had zero community transmissions for over a week now, all cases are overseas returnees going into quarantine, and the majority coming from Pakistan and India.
It'd be too much to ask for 0 cases to continue, but I think it's pretty amazing for the state with the largest population and where the majority of OS residents and travelers have returned to have 0 local cases for over a week.

Blaming China is just an excuse to try to cover up their own slowness to act.
Trump denied the outbreak was serious, called it a 'Chinese disease' and waited until late March to take serious action, by which time the Italian version of the virus was widespread in New York and spreading fast, while the Chinese version of the virus had arrived in Washington. Most cases in the USA now are actually the Italian, not Chinese, versions.
Thank God our governments acted faster.

Yep, it could be 14 days before we know if there is a second wave, which is why other states and territories are delaying opening their borders.
