They said very clearly on the news tonight that the Military were assisting the Police efforts, so as Ian says, anyone needing arresting or fining would be handed over to the Police. I have no issues with it personally, idiots need to be stopped from doing something that could jeopardise others safety - every other state and territory have done well, Victorians now need to get their **** together. I’ve stayed as per the initial lockdown rules from day one, not easing up at all really when everyone else did, keeping my distance, etc, etc - this time everyone needs to do their bit.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.

Yes, one thing you southerners seem to be missing. Honest Anna was voted in by Queenslanders, not Any one south of the border. Anna took the advice of the longest serving senior medical officer in any State, and it worked for us. You mob just play politics, which plays with people's lives. Anna doesn't need to appear tough to us, she is tough. And she very politely doesn't put up with people who put **** on Queensland. And nor do we. So you mob pull your bloody heads in. And sort your own **** out.

I think that stopping people coming from an heavily infected area into a minimal infected area would be considered as humanitarian support.

No, they call the copper over. Every site will have at least one police officer to perform the necessary, should it occur.

Earlier in the piece. Bob Katter wanted to divide Qld into the South East, and the North, For Quarantine purposes. People in the S.E. laughed at him. Not me. I saw it as a way to keep the virus from the populated south out of the North. It was a smart thought then, and a smart thought now in Victoria.

How Melbourne will be cut off from Victoria

Same as peacekeeping , the military keeps the peace, the local constabulary enforces the law. It's a sobering thought that in this time of stress in Australia, we have come to this. Perhaps it might demonstrate to some how easy it can be to become refugees, even in your own country. Bit of a wake up call, really.

Christ! Six bloody weeks lock down now!

After the last lot there won't be any viable small businesses operating in 6 weeks in time in Vic. if they don't get a handle on this thing smartish.

As Captain of his ship, now would probably be a good time for Danny Boyo to resign.

The Captain is only as good as his crew.

Relatives tell me lots of southern grey nomads are already camped in various parts of western NSW clocking up their 14 days outside Victoria so they can get passes to come into Qld from midday Friday. That's the normal winter northern migration. Its fine with me. Not many cases outside Melbourne and Sydney. Tourism operators will be happy.
