Lock down would not have worked for the majority if some allowance for exercise was not allowed. It was a compromise of sorts. Social distancing was emphasised and even now, I veer away and go wide around people. A 7-week lock down habit.
We're the same - exercise is permitted.

Canada has had 8,800 deaths and the majority of those (80%) were in nursing homes.

I find it hard to believe that the staff here weren't even wearing masks.

and the privately owned homes are having very few infections

wow... what a tale of woe IMHO

Not just your opinion either inc. How many families are "looking ahead & holding their breath & waiting for their Parents, Husbands/Wives not to be in that 80? What a bloody Dog's Breakfast this has turned out to be through incompetence, bad management, Laziness & lack of any foresight even after having been warned last year that this thing was on it's way.

Makes one wonder if these people are the same ones that made/make other decisions previously affecting our recent happy lives & when this is all over(???) they will go back to their meddling & comfortable lives?

    GGGGGGGRRRRRRRR.

Just back from my daily circuit Rehab which is 27km Yarra river and bike/ walking trail. Amazing how few people are silly. Today just two decided to walk and stop on the right hand side as people were on the left Not stressed as kids and dogs have me ready to stop any time they are near by. The two were not kids

Quietly mentioned it was helpful if we stayed to the left to a person last week and was given a very loud mouth full Delighted to ring the bell as I passed 'IT' tonight. I was 10 metres plus off the track as I passed. It was still grumpy. I am going to enjoy that for years I suspect. I know IT but IT doesn't know me

Masked up for 90% till it got far to soggy to function. A few runners and riders had masks on and 95% plus of the walkers did as well.

Nice to see so many kids learning to ride. One or two adults riding kids bikes made me happy to have mask on to hide my grin. Not this one but you get the picture

People Need to take these lock downs VERY Seriously because IF they continue to flaunt the rules or use loopholes to wander around the place instead of simply staying home unless it is absolutely essential to go out we will NEVER be able to take control of this virus.
Walking the dog is certainly permitted but coffee, etc - No, agree 100%.

So what is YOUR "Strategy" to keep EVERYONE safe ???
Social distancing and quarantining has been the "Strategy" used by various governments for "Plagues" of hundreds of years and it has been effective.
YES some governments **** it up BUT Common sense dictates that we NEED to keep our distance from others at times like this BUT some people have a really hard time with common sense and a social conscience and this is why the governments Have to step in and make the various rules in an effort to keep the community safe.
What is the alternative? Have NO rules and rely on the population to ALL do the right thing, Yer right This will NEVER work because even with rules in place some individuals don't give a flying **** and still totally ignore the rules FFS.

If you have 20 minutes to waste, is all on video here.

[Video link deleted owing to foul language. You should know better.]

There sure are some whack jobs around. Can't believe the cops just let this tosser drive away - unlicensed driver (licenced suspended for speeding) and driving an unregistered vehicle.
