Take an example - our farm is near the Vic/SA border, so we got to apply to uni in SA or Vic as locals. I went to Melbourne, my brother went to Adelaide. If I wanted a discounted tram fare I had to buy a concession pass - $50 per year, if I remember correctly. My brother in Adelaide got the discounted travel without having to buy a card and free travel after 10.00am. I paid a lot for rent - not only was his rent in Adelaide lower but he also got an SA govt housing allowance for students: there was nothing like that on offer in Victoria.
I went to a hospital in Queensland a few years ago and got seen quickly, and there weren't many people waiting to be seen - the last time I went to ER in Melbourne I had a 4 hour wait and there were people sleeping on seats while they waited. That difference in Commonwealth grants per person has real world effects.

And that means those ambulances ramping up at Brisbane hospitals are having a slow day, not that there are no beds , you reckon. Supposition and hearsay, waiting for you to say something about Joh Bjelke. Tell you something about the Australian hospital system. Some years ago a review was done, recommendations made, and every state except Victoria signed up to the new system. They had their own way of doing things they said. Looking for the article that explains the folly of that. Will post it up as soon as I do.

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food
A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking
