I'll do the maths for you - in a city of 5 million people there were maybe 200 protesters? That's 1 in 25,000 or 0.0005%.
And I was surprised that there were even that many.
And mask-wearing is pretty much universal in Melbourne.

It's pretty sad really, 200 or so people with moron level IQ and/or so little self esteem that something like this gives them a cherished "minute in the sun" moment. I really feel sorry for these poor people, to behave this stupidly, crying out for attention and all they're achieving is showing all that care to look how dumb they really are. When/if they come this realisation that all they've achieved is to show that they're actually more worthless than they thought they were in the first place, how will they feel ? With a bit of luck they never will, ignorance is bliss :)
No doubt our honorable members of the press will shoot this from selected angles with poor depth of view to give the impression of a much greater 'demonstration' whilst exhorting protestors to put on a show for the camera. One thing that has really come home to me during this Corona virus crisis is the absolute lack of professionalism shown by the news media. A beat up at any cost to inflame the punters and sell more advertising. And the worst part, good 'ol Aunty ABC has joined the race to the bottom, they haven't caught up to the likes of the commercials or Sky News yet but definitely get an honorable mention.
Aah well, .............................. that's my whinge for the day, let's see what tomorrow brings :)
