A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

I havent stocked up anymore than normal, neither have my elderly parents.
Its very simple, if any of my family need to quarantine for 14 days and run out of food/water, we can phone/txt each other with "hey can you drop off milk (or whatever) to the front door tomorrow" etc etc.

Have people not thought of this??
    Regards

I **** you not this is true and happened yesterday.

I understand hording out of fear but to do this? She should be arrested.

Might be a good time for a huge ad campain reminding us Aussies of the countless hurdles we have had to jump over life and how we collectively always stick together.

Bushfires recently has to stand as a bloody good example. People delivering toilet paper to those without it right now. Stuff like that. Not trying to infect others!!!!!

Also as a "Teaching Aid" for those who are new to this lucky country.
    C-19 notwithstanding.

Video of those "punchups" seemed to be foreigners so maybe a bit of tuition on "the Australian Way" might not go amiss.

Once upon a time people like your "cougher" would have been confined for their own safety but today they are allowed to wander at will.

Two days notice is not good enough Mr Coles. End of week as cutoff point would have been more sensible.

The PM is making some good points in his speech this morning, let's hope people listen & follow advice in this environment.
Why? Can't they hire more packers and delivery drivers?
Home delivery should be a boom business when people have to stay home.
In the USA Amazon is hiring more packing and delivery staff to meet increased demand.

    Okay, found it now.
The Development Rd and Tele Track are still open to Weipa, but communities are closed, I think.

Not sure Mick, their online post was a bit vague & trying to ring them is absolutely hopeless with a wait time to answer of who knows how long, we gave up after two hours each listening to the usual crap message. Glad it is not run by Qantas from some stories on here.

They do shut off the phone service @ 20:00 apparently. You'd think they could take on more "Tele-answerers" & make sure they have sufficient incoming lines to handle that. OR, don't advertise it at all.

Oh yes, if one is 'Vulnerable' ie. age I suppose that means, then one may get exemption but how the **** you arrange that I do not know. One needs to know the criteria.

Apparently the Delivery "Service" may return one day. I suppose they mean when the heat is off.

WW do not deliver to our postcode but with area becoming more populated, they are sure not looking to the future.

Probably if we moved to Oonagalabi we would be ok

    Updated.

Right two nights in a row, 2 hours waiting & the system drops you out without even getting to speak to anyone..

Time to get their act together.

Woolworths deny they are shutting down online deliveries. edit. some areas may have delays due to restocking.
