Our camper trailer had to be taken to a workshop approved by the insurance company to have repairs done. Yep, that's it.
Mike.
If you had happened to mention this small detail in your first post this "schoolyard" behaviour may not have occurred & no apology would be needed or requested.I
I think you mentioned summat about it being nobody else's business at the time & of today but it is obviously no State Secret

If you had come out with it,at the time of your first post about it,there would have been no assumptions.
This is a public forum.
We went down as well, for work,no secrets there.
I think we should all move on,calm down, forget about it all, there is more to worry and talk about, such as Covid
Ok every one. Time to take a deep breath, hitch up the strides, forget our personal differences, and prepare. Prepare for Chapter two, of the Coronavirus fight. We are all feeling the pressure, anxieties are high , tempers are short. The way around this is to focus, on what we all have to do to get through this with the best possible result. At the moment ground zero is Melbourne. Maximum effort should be made to ensure the people in the hot zones [ sounds like something out of a sci-fi movie, doesn't it.] are supported as best as can be. Those from those hot zones MUST do the right thing, [ a simple phrase but it means so much]and we should all remember, because of our efforts from the beginning, we are in a much better place than many around the World.
Just a little homily from my early days , ; when under pressure , rocks turn to diamonds. Time to shine like diamonds guys. [ Yeah I know. We used to think the scaly old Chief was bonkers too.] Most of you blokes have been around for a few summers. You've lived thru good and bad times. Don't let this short period of our lives get on top of you.
I know I'm telling you blokes nothing, but it made me feel a bit better. Good luck, especially those of you at the coal face. We'll get through this, and wonder what the fuss was all about.

Well said, Bob!
p.s. if you feel like getting out for while this weekend, 2 large pizza delivered to 'The Three Discos c/o Cedar Grove Campground, Amamoor', would be lovely, thanks.

Well, Mary & I are now the proud owners of a Bluestone 19 ft caravan. I've used the time in coronavirus limbo to crawl all over under and in it. I feel I know the van almost as much as I knew the engine room on the old Vampire. Couple of issues, the igniter on the Thetford 240v / 12 v / gas fridge needs replacing, hand brake doesn't do the job but apart from that, ready to roll. Replaced the two 100A AGM batteries with two 120A lithium ion ones, in the process traced all the wiring to the source, checked all earths, checked all gas fittings , and even watched one of the SBS World movies about Sherlock Holmes in old age.Toilet and shower, essential considering I get up to the loo often at night [ that's my diabetes I'm told] Got it from Kratzmann vans, four new tyres, new bearings ,got a very good rub around from them [ two hours] before driving away. Annex in vg condition, I bought a 15A to 10A adapter with safety switch, to power up from the house 10 A system, ran the fridge for 8 hours just to make sure it worked to spec, all good. [ Also ran the generator for three hours through the adapter to prove that set up. ] Set up one of my solar panels on top, not secured, just for proof of concept.
Drove up to Maroochydore van park, spoke to them about the rules during coronalife, liked what we saw, [ part of the deal there is they like you to use your own set up if self contained, shower & toilet, part of the keeping your distance virus rules, not compulsory, but makes sense to me.] Maroochy life saving club is just up the road, had lunch, got the word that if we want to watch footy on Fox, book a table early. the tables are kept apart, once again for distancing. If conditions are eased, we would consider wearing masks. ATM, the virus is slowing us down, but not stopping us.
The only fly in the ointment is I'm sure I have a carden shaft on the way out. Coming back from Maroochy, at 110 kph I had an unusual whine , hard to track down, but when I stopped the engine at home, a serious rattle from directly under. I drove it the next day on the hwy, but couldn't reproduce the whine or the rattle. Lucky I bought the tool to remove the carden shaft bolts, even luckier I found it, after all those years. I'll take it off, and if it is as I suspect, drive around two wheel drive until it is fixed. Land Rovers ,designed to take your mind off the minor things, like viruses .
