Not anti-lockdown Ian, just anti knob jockey. As stated these blow hards have NFI what they are doing to the population, they'll tell you they know but I don't believe they have a half a clue. Yes, I know there is no bottomless pit of money but there should be some small contribution from state and federal govts to assist in the essentials at these times.

State grubberments still control the electricity generation don't they? How about they make electricity free for six months? I don't know, but I'm sure there is more that can be done for those in the most need. They all seem to have the same "no care, no responsibility" attitude. You only have to look at our "illustrious" state mouth piece that is going to the Olympics to stay in a hotel to have one day out to give a 45 min pitch to secure the 2032 Olympics that are almost guaranteed to Qld anyway.

And today in some committee she couldn't even state if she was going to pay for her quarantine on return or the public would foot the bill. I'm guessing Joe Public is out of pocket again!

Out of touch with reality, all of 'em.

It not hard at all and when I have to go out, I'm seeing 100% compliance, but masks alone will not subdue this curse.

Hard to disagree with any of that Ray, but despite us "all being in this together", we have to look after ourselves.
As a point of interest, Rolls Royce's most successful, financial period was during the depression years, so regardless of circumstances, some people never do it hard.

Actually, no: if you're talking about Victoria and NSW, Victoria's electricity network is 100% privately owned and NSW is a mix. Apparently some of the other States still have State monopolies.

And that would stop them from paying everyone's electricity for 2 quarters? No, it wouldn't. They just can't think about anyone but themselves and their donors, i.e. the top end of town.

If you think people are angry here about these lockdowns, you should see what people, particularly from Victoria, are saying on socials like Twitter. They are incandescent with rage. If I was Gladys I would plan never to set foot in Victoria again - she might not make it out alive.
