Doesn't have to be a night trip. They do day trips on the ferry too.

I'd take it across for you, just pay both legs - i have family in Glenorchy i can visit .

A mate of mine bought a car in Melbourne for shipping to Tas. I dropped it off at the Spirit of Tas for him. All I did was drop/park the vehicle off in the freight carpark with the keys etc. The staff load the car on and it gets picked up at the other end.

Give the Spirit of Tas a call. Otherwise have a chat to a freight company in Tas. I'll PM you a possible contact for a start.

I can help with storage and drop off back to port Melbourne at a later date if you can’t get a booking in the short term.
