    Free Fishy Money Up For Grabs.

    In an effort to stimulate bush fire affected areas of Vic the VFA has implemented the Golden Tag program.

    In a nutshell both salt and fresh water fish species have been fitted with Golden Tags and released into various waters.The first ten to be caught are worth $10G each. Subsequent fish are worth $2G each.

    The first one was caught a few days ago.............. let's call it Dallas (inside joke).

    Paintball hunts of retired centrefold bunnies would have attracted far higher numbers into the scorched areas.

    All 10 of the $10K fish have ben now caught, one fisher got a $2K one on long weekend and then got a another $2K one yesterday. seems these fish have been easy to catch compared to other released tagged fish of by gone years.

    The River and regulating poundage here was infested with a multitude of both local and tourist anglers trying their luck. Today only one diehard was present. I guess the tagged fish were caught and the word traveled quickly.
