Lockdown/Stay-in-place situation, What are you planning to do?

I have a house in queenstown tassie to paint (check out the rainfall stats) its been in under coat now for 18 months.
so after canceling our trip to alice, I decided to paint the house.
Ordered a spray unit from the closest big green shed that had them in stock, smart people there off loaded tto the store closest who didn't have one and its on back order, maybe 3 weeks. Now the store is only open to trade customers (I have a trade account), I would normally just get someone to pick it up for me, they not wanting to do that either. Means 200km return trip for me, not so bad if I am heading to queens town. Looks like by the time i start it will be the middle of winter, any one know a paint that can be sprayed in sub zero temps

Might be a silly idea, but I wonder if there is a bored local removalist who might get it for you for a few bucks.

I'm using brushes and rollers, as I'm not in a hurry and there is a lot of detail work to do.

Don’t feel bad about a 200km round trip.

I’m about to do 800km return day trip to collect some powder coated parts and continue re-assembling my Motorcycle.
Parts are all boxed up, so we will not have to interact when I get there as per our discussion. Just can’t ship them as it will more than likely get damaged.

In my world there’s a positive in all this - I’m getting lots of my projects done. Including this weekend with the 5t Digger [emoji106]

Blaze, why drive yourself around the bend worrying about it? Forget the paint job & go for the in vogue look of looking knackered. [biggrin] A little bit like living in the Mount Lofty Ranges & the old timers told us to paint before ANZAC Day or don't paint at all as it just gets too damp. That may have been the case in days of yore when they used Oil Based Paint but with Acrylic if you pick your day you can still go an extra couple of weeks but no longer. I wonder if Powder Coating will ever be available for houses one day?[smilebigeye]

We had a bloke paint a few years ago & he wished to paint the underside of the Bull Nose Verandah. I suggested, nay, advised him, to leave it but he insisted & so he painted it. We had Fog overnight & the whole bloody lot finished up running down into the house gutters. Needless to say he had to redo it again.

A nice bloke, drank Tar Black Tea ,was from Yorkshire & liked his Cricket & liked his Radio Volume up to it's max so he could hear it from the other side of the house. But the doof doof doof gave one the ****s after a while. :Rolling: Didn't bother me too much though 'cos a day after he started I was admitted to the old RAH for 6 weeks with, if you can believe it, "Community Acquired Pneumonia" ffs. I hope that wasn't a type of COVID-19.[bighmmm]
