The name' Augustus Downs' brings back a not so good memory for me. I had visited several cattle stations through the Cape/Gulf area, owned by the same mob, and had about 5 weeks worth of field data plus processing programmes on my laptop.
On evening, while charging the laptop at Augustus, the main genny had a particularly heavy load placed on it. With the resultant reaction from the genny, my laptop threw in the towel.[bigsad] No AVR in those days[biggrin]
Luckily, a quick flight to the Isa and a visit to a 'puter bloke and all data retrieved. Took a while to get another laptop with relevant programming up to me so had a few days catching up with several rellies there.
