Had a few slabs (no - not the liquid type) left over from my recent bush hut build and SWMBO thought it was about time I repaired/replaced our broken brick letterbox so I decided to built one similar to the bush hut.
Thanks to JDNSW for the slabs.

I have, about 2 hours ago, just returned from a nice sojourn to Cloncurry & Mt Isa.
Really good to see SWMBO again, if only for a few days, & very nice to eat her cooking again.
I drove the Roadhouse Mitsubishi Triton which was uncomfortable after a D2 but ran OK.
On the way back I was quite amused at the Police check-point. There was 3 cars & vans of tourist in front of me & they all got turned around & sent back they way they had come. You would think they would have checked things out first?
Any how, it was a nice little break but back to work tomorrow.

Interestingly there is a large illuminated sign just north of Dubbo, warning that the Qld border is closed! Hundreds of kilometres up the Newell!

Paul's three groups didn't go that way, John.

The check point is at the Augustus Downs turn off, about 100k East of Gregory.

There is also a sign just West of Burke & Wills Roadhouse.
I dosen't say you will be stopped, it's something like Biosecurity Area Ahead.
The tourist were parked up at B&W Roadhouse while we were there having a sandwhich, I thought they were headed to Karumba.

It's a good time of year to be in Karumba.
