If they ever come to an agreement on what schools are doing it looks like SWMBO will be at work till the end of the term at least. I'm apparently essential at this stage so no enforced holiday for me.
If I am confined to home its not so bad with two and a half acres full of jobs to do. I'm assuming that the police won't feed my sheep when they try and stop me going out to the farm, and theres plenty of fencing to be done out there, then there's Geraldine the 1956 series one.....

    Regards,

Working from home. I'm one of the very few lucky teachers who isn't being thrust into the face of what will be a Coronavirus cesspit.

Not at all, supermarkets are still open and putting more staff on and more trucks on. Son is a Manager at the local Woolies - they’re gearing up to cope with increased separation of their customer and themselves but that’s it - full steam ahead - Supply chain isn’t busted at all.

Suppliers of both food and other goods we all need are slowly starting to catch up as everyone was caught off guard. Lockdown doesn’t mean you can’t go buy dunny roll, that’s the problem - people don’t listen to what’s actually being said, just listening to the bleeding of the herd...

As for what I’ll be doing, plenty of work around the house, gardens and workshop. Can easily kill 6 weeks without going anywhere, might start to get a bit bored after that, will see...

Pretty much life as usual - I only go to town once a week anyway, Might see if I can extendit to once a fortnight.

End of what was meant to be the wet season and the run off should be starting so might head to a couple of spots for a bit of barra fishing . The list might just have to wait till there a less important things to be done .

    Red face

Being a truck driver it will be business as usual for me, as I am part of getting food to the nation.

If I had to self quarantine though, I would be happy to be locked in my shed for two weeks with the beer fridge well stocked.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

Scientific advise here is that schools are a low risk zone and so no need to close. Teachers agitated big time to have the schools closed and government caved in subject to schools staying open for kids of essential workers. Now find that about 30% of kids have parents in essential jobs and so have to stay open anyway.
