I’ve done that before

I think its very good for people in isolation to keep active by improving their properties. It has probably stopped some people from going stir crazy and prevented depression.

In our case:

Lots of gardening is happening, including new beds and cutting down trees, some dead after the drought.
My outside painting is progressing well, with almost half the main colour on the walls, and then will come the white trim.

The Navigator has decided to improve the internet by running about 40 metres of Cat 6 from the modem up one end of the house down to our studio at the other end. She's in full Ryobi Girl mode and having a ball drilling through walls and beams, fixing conduit and running cable. Its doing a great job of keeping her busy.

The snake catcher has also been twice and a family of three diamond pythons has been safely moved to a better place, to the relief of the chickens, dogs and humans. Lovely snakes, but in the wrong place.

So, we're in full isolation mode here. How are you lot doing?

Went to town today. Had a win at Coles - first hour they only admit seniors/disabled. But still no toilet paper (didn't need any), or bread flour, or bread mix or hand sanitiser. But I did get paper towels (limit 1 pack) and metho.

Then to chemist - opens an hour later than normal. Can't supply the two packs of panadol osteo I should have for the month. Otherwise OK.

Filled the tank - $1.33.9. I thought the price of oil had come down?

Then Aldi, got everything I needed there.

Home by 1115. Left half a loaf of bread too close to the edge of the kitchen bench again - dog is going to get half serve of food tonight! I'll have to vacuum the crumbs out of the carpet.

Road was not too bad overall, although the creek crossing is very bad after the rain last week.

Town is very, very, quiet. A lot of shops "temporarily closed". A few look very permanent closures.

On the way home, just north of Dubbo on the Newell, they were just dismantling what had been a "stop and check whether your trip is necessary" - they were picking up the witches hats and signs, 40k speed signs were still up. Weren't there when I went in.

Me too. I use the Leaf Blower to stir up the bonfire when it gets a bit slow. Have two heaps ready tarped so at least the centre of the heaps will stay dry in the event of rain. It then works it's way outwards. Might be a bit of overkill for a Barby though. Buggers will probably extend the Fire Ban dates now.

The tin and timber has arrived for me to resheet the back of the house, I will make a start on that job on the weekend when the BIL gets back home

I think they have to sell a proportion of E10 and not doing at present so the low price. I think 91 was 101.9.
