We run a UPS on the home network and security systems.
Very handy and a good line filter here where the feed can be a little ‘noisy’

Since there's been some discussion about what is and what isn't allowed under the Queensland border restrictions, and some people appear confused about how it works, here is the actual direction which spells it out. People cross every day.

Border restrictions Direction (No. 5) | Queensland Health

If you want to test it out, go here, answer the questions, and see if you are approved:

Queensland Entry Pass | Queensland Government

BTW the last time I checked the Qld Chief Medical Officer had not declared any C-19 hotspots in NSW.

    Here’s a hint....

Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.

All those clowns getting out amongst others this LWE are an invite to go back to square one.

We stayed home, went away the weekend before - and interacted with nobody.

Minimise exposure and minimise re-occurrences and we will have some normality return. Push the envelope and it’ll be lockdown again in no time.

My site restrictions will remain in place until I’m convinced we aren’t going to expose any individual.

I talked to my nephew an hour or so ago. I told him I thought of going to town today (Tuesday is my usual day) but decided that the first day after a LWE might not be a good idea. He said he did go in - and it was packed!

We of a mature age know what it is all about & act accordingly. It sounds like it would have been difficult to maintain Social Distancing.

    Good choice JD

My 86 yr old mother hasn’t been out of her house, apart from walks to the park,in about 9 weeks.

She is not happy, and rotates ringing everyone, which we joke about. And we call her regularly.

Uses Zoom for communication as well, particularly with friends.

Even now she is still scared to go anywhere.Doesn’t want the grandkids around.

We do visit every now and again, and she seems to find things that need doing,so I have fixed the curtains, replaced the broken PowerPoint, got a new heater for the oven in the van, waiting to go in as well.

Just gotta sort out the stray cat that keeps pooing in the garden......

Got the electric fence thing here, should sort it out,but I am worried she will accidentally walk into it.

So looks like it’s coffee grounds in the garden for the moment as apparently cats don’t like the smell.

Hopefully her life will get back to normality soon.

And so say all of us.

I can sympathise Paul. This uncertainty each day brings is not good & it is nearly half a year most seem to have been twiddling thumbs, while here,, domestic barneys happen on a regular basis for trivial, stupid things.
I'm beginning to think maybe death due to C-19 may not be such a bad thing after all, but of course I know better than that. To top it off I think my computer is dying on me.

    ****ed off in Adelaide.
