I'd want it RHD for that price and have the step removed neatly, rather than forcibly.

US$155,000 at current exchange rate is AU$267,240 Plus freight, GST, shipping agents charges etc. etc.

You could buy a very nice true classic car for that money not a bloody old Land Rover. Ferrari anyone?

I think the price and the fact that it is LHD reflect the fact that it is old enough to be imported into the USA. That step folds.

One of my work Landies had such a step and I don't know how many times I 'Shinned' myself with it! I wasn't permitted to remove it, either. A slow learner, obviously.

I've had four of them on my County for over twenty years, and never had any issues. The semicircular ones fitted (optional) to Series 2/3 are better in that they fold when they hit something. I usually have them folded and only put them down for short legged or decrepit passengers.

Exactly my problem. My co-worker was very vertically challenged and would use the step whenever he drove the vehicle. He also had the annoying and painful for me, habit of leaving the step down!

Probably also painful for him if he stepped on the folded step that you had folded up while he was already in!
