    I used my lawn mower as a gauge. One of the things our wedding celebrant said at the ceremony was "And he said, I knew she was a keeper when she learned to start the lawn mower". It might have been a bit temperamental, but it was a good judge of character.

    A few of the prototypes fell at the first hurdle.
