Very lucky, it started making the noise on my way to my medical appointment, I new what it was but didn't think was actually going to fail like it did. I just said to my car "please get me there, I really need this appointment today" we'll bless her cotton socks she did but not much further! I got under and looked before I started the drive home and it all seemed not too bad, gave everything a wobble, deemed yep should be ok. It wasn't [emoji51]
Lesson learned though. Not a mistake of judgement I'll ever repeat. My car looks after me and I really let it down with not stopping before it let go.
It doesn't need to be a nice looking one with Floral Motifs & ribbons so long it appears ok for now until you replace it.
Thing to watch is if it has 200 grease Nipples for future lubrication. More is better, but not quite 200 though, if you get my drift.[bigrolf]
Some new unis don't have ANY, so I wouldn't bother fitting one of those. Your one looks like a Seizure failure ie. seized then snapped. New ones might be claimed to have Sealed for Life but you take your chances, personally I like summat to get a grease gun on & then you know it is Lubed. I guess you have asked the lads at Bridgewater?
He thinks so haha. Yes replacing with greaseable ones. Just not sure if better to just replace thrm all or get a whole prop shaft with them already in haha. I need the other half of the joint thing as it's pretty bad
Will you have it fixed for Monday? I need a lift across town.[bigsad]
Its fixed now [emoji41][emoji108] temporary solution at least whilst find more uni joints and things or buy whole thing
