whoops! I've been waiting for a uni joint to come in thr mail and the situation was much more dire than I thought haha

If the u-joint is all you need, consider yourself lucky! I hope this happened at low speed.

Very lucky! had just started moving off traffic lights, so was very slow speed :O scary in I had been travelling at 100kmph not long before :O cannot image how awful that would have been had it gone then!!

Only damage seems to be to the propshaft itself as far as I can tell. Im in too much pain today to get under and really look though.

Be thankful that it wasn't the Rear Shaft, Gearbox end or it could really have been more serious if it had dug in & flipped you @ 100kmh.

From memory, I fixed a U loop under the front end of the shaft on my old D1 & bolted to the chassis so if it went bang the shaft didn't drop to the road, It would have rattled & banged a bit but wouldn't have dropped. Also did the same to my S2A although that wasn't going to be a big problem if it had gone @ 60kmh.

Don't have that to look forward to on the Front WD Mazda.

you know I never even considered that could be a possibility. I could have murdered my car! I'd have been so upset if that happened and I lived!
Got a spare one dads just putting on it but it's not nicest looking prop shaft. I think I'll just replace whole bit and hope it already has all uni joints ready to go haha
I got stuck on the floor for a while.
