    Hello All,

According to the tracking page, my new to me vehicle was loaded onto a truck at 6:00 am today, the 17th of April 2020. The car is now making its way to Pinkenba arriving there on Sunday the 19th of April. So on Sunday my car will be in the same state of Australia as me. The next stop after that one is ... directly to me! Not sure when that will be - it depends on a truck going North towards the top of the country.

    Kind regards
    Lionel

    Hello All,

This vehicle did arrive today at home...

It did not come from Western Australia

The vehicle that did come from WA arrived just before mid-day. However, it is not booked in for its safety certificate and full registration until Friday - sigh. Therefore, if I have to wait, so can.....

The 2A is a spares vehicle. I have a Shortie that the previous owner made fall over on it's driver's side. Subsequently, it has panel damage down the full length of its side. Today's 2A arrival has a very shot chassis - with a good body.

It also just happens to have a Holden 202 which has a functional throttle adjustment system. The "functional" side of things is different to what Rebus my 109 Series 3 with a 202 motor has. Some adjustment is lost when they followed a cable throttle control system. There needs to be some fine adjustment which is just not there.

Today's 2A is a full mechanical linkage style of accelerator control which I may revert to. Now that I can see what should go where I should be able to cross the last hurdle with Rebus' carburettor

How far away is Friday afternoon?

    Kind regards
    Lionel
