Yes, just wait until they are in a doorjamb and close the door. You then also have a bookmark.

We have the native fat tail ones down here and they **** everywhere also but their nativeness? means that I love em.

The broad-tailed gecko, southern leaf-tailed gecko, or Sydney leaf-tailed gecko is a common gecko of the family Carphodactylidae found in the Sydney Basin. The species uses its mottled colour to camouflage against bark or rock, and if threatened can drop its large fleshy tail as a decoy. Wikipedia

They chase mosquitoes and flies, so isn't that a good thing?

let's bring another ****ty little pest in......that stinkin little pink lizard , which I will not call a gecko.

they seem to breed in our ceiling and **** down through the gaps between our cornices and our rough faced bricks.

they do not like mothballs so I throw mothballs around the ceiling spaces but that doesn't stop the little bastards from breeding elsewhere and ****ting all over our outside furniture.

now, can someone tell me , is there also a nice humane way , similar to the humane way I treat the cane toads, that can help me eliminate the little bastards?
    Yup. Baygon, Raid etc.

You haven’t seen Geckos until you’ve lived in Thailand Don't you hate it when some people know it all?

    or KL.
It was worse for us in KL as in Thailand we lived in a 16th floor aircon apartment and didn't have any while in KL we has a house on 1/2 acre, along with 13 black cobras, a Mongoose ( which the dog killed) and many rats and geckos.

Dont be afraid, do it right and you can write pretty much anything you like so long as you deliver with the right attitude and nature.

Theres a few posts I've made that were quite intentionally inconceivably inaccurate that were received appropriately, well for the most part anyway....

We were in bed one night in Thailand when one of those things with the sticky feet lost grip on the ceiling and landed fair smack in the middle of our bed. I lay there laughing while the wife bolted.Don't you hate it when some people know it all?

    Annnd...

    Mc Facepalm......

I feel like i did that thing that makes me want to say things like "you know how when people say smile, it could be worse so I smiled and lo, it got worse"...

so bad such no, I just want those minutes back... I'm not even going to reread and edit this post...

someone please, If I ever do something as inevitably regretable as to ask something like that again, follow up my post with a polite warning that I'm going to regret asking it if I check it.

This is the kind of woefeully bad that usually winds up with a new entry in the book.

you county87 are going to the special hell, the one reserved for child molesters and people who crinkle chip packets in cinemas.

We have heaps around here, and they crap on everything.

Not as bad as Thailand, but not far off.

If i can manage to catch one, it gets thrown outside for the Butcherbirds, they like them.

Some are huge, probably around 5 to 6 inches long.
