Hi Ace, once I clear all the back orders from AULRO members, I’ll be posting the kits on my web site but the discount price will still apply to any AULRO members after that time so don’t hurry, you’ll still get the discount.

    Cheers.

my knowledge in this area is nil too. but i did a hella h3 upgrade, plus IPF 'fatboys', to my 86 defender, while it is better not dramatically (for the cost) then standard, will this wiring loom, etc make more difference?

I already have my headlights and hi beam on seperate relays, so the dip switch no only goes as far as the relay, is the kit any use to me?

MMMM dip switch - now that is a great idea - like the ones in the old falcons near your left foot - how hard would it be to put one of those in drivesafe

Hi def-90, most of the wiring looms that come with driving lights and the FEW headlight wiring upgrade kits are not much better that the wiring that is installed in the vehicle from new.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying you have wasted your money but the wiring in these kits is usually NOT thick enough.

My kits supply 4mm automotive cable for the headlights and 5mm automotive cable for the driving lights and this is nearly always thicker than any of the other looms.

Hi Maggot4x4, same as above but in your case as you should only need thick cable, if you haven’t already installed it.

If you haven’t fitted thick enough wire, print out the wiring diagram I have posted in the Projects and Tutorial section and go to an auto electrician or auto supply shop and get what you need.

    Cheers.

    Hi Def-90
You arent an ASS,and you werent led up the garden path either.
Do you have the ARB cattledog???
If so look those globes up,THEY SUIT STANDARD WIRING SYSTEMS,the do have other IPF globes listed that require the wiring upgrade.
If you do fit the wiring upgrade you should get the full benefit from those $150 globes.
