    Covid tip closures

So who elses tip is closed to the public? So the mid north NSW coast council have a great idea to close all the tips to prevent spread of the virus, i get that, kind of.
Now when i go to the tip, i pay, and that is my only contact with someone. No different to thw supermarket, or getting fuel, actually a lot less exposure the people.
So everyone is in isolation, so cleaning up their property, but can't dump their rubbish (i have about 4 loads). Council said for a fee they can do roadside pick up, in july!!!

So who/where else has their tip closed??

I tried to get stuff sent the local recycling station a couple of weeks ago. Closed I was told, until further notice. So I'm accumulating the plastic feed bags at work.....until further notice.

Yep, ours is closed to the public. Have an area I’ve designated for all the rubbish I’ve been cleaning up and will take it when they reopen I suppose.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.

Our shire transfer stations as far as I know are still on normal hours.
We have a privately owned recycling centre that opened recently, its running 7 days a week.

Transfer station (council operated) in Kalamunda and town tip (privately operated) in Moora, are both still open.
Our beaches are still open too.
Maybe we’ll have to Wait Awhile for them to close
    Or
Are we Way Ahead and they’re not gonna closeCovid tip closures

The local Brisbane "Resource Recovery Centres" are open, though one chap was reported in the local paper to have been pinged by a zealous member of the QPS for taking stuff to the one at Willawong. It was legally open, he was obeying the social distancing rules...there was some followup 'comment' in the press and I suspect the fine will be quietly withdrawn... Interestingly, in today's paper the column by our worthy police commissioner responded to a question by grandparents wanting to know if the "2 people per visit" approval extended to them wanting to drive from Brisbane to Bundaberg to visit their grand children. The answer was Yes! I did wonder about "Me and Nana" heading to FNQ for the same reason!...

I usually have a choice of tips. I can go north to the Moruya tip or south to Brou Lake tip.

However the Moruya tip was closed as a result of bushfire damage in January.

The Brou Lake tip closed a couple of weeks ago and the Moruya tip opened a week or so later.

My tally in the last month is seven loads in the Defender of much overdue pruning and dead tree felling to Brou and one to Moruya.
