    What Shocks for D2?

Ok guys, I have LRA 'white' spings (giving a 50mm lift) in the rear of the D2 and my original rear shocks are SHOT!

What would you fit? Rancho's, Tough Dog, OME, Bilstein...... I carry a Waeco 50lt plus camping gear, some stuff on a half length roof rack (40kg?).

I'm open to all comments from those who have solved the dilemma of good ride plus good load capacity.

    Hi Wardy
Im going thru the same process at the moment for my D2 except the whole suspension. From a couple of sellers Ive spoken to(ARB,www.4wddirect.com.au/) it seems keep with heavy duty not extra havy duty as the ride becomes too harsh,Im fitting polyairs at the same time for load/towing when a stiffer bum is needed.
Check out the 4WD Direct people, their prices are really good, delivered to your door.Their online cattalouge isnt complete yet put email for prices,I got quoted $829.50 forthe EFS complete kit(4 2 inch coils,4 shocks,32mmHD steering damper) Using Lovells 2 inch coils and Bilstien shocks and damper $1390.00 .The Polyair kit is $330.00.ALL PRICES DELIVERED The EFS kit has a 3 year 60000KM warranty!!!!!

I'm going to sit on the sideline and watch this one with interest.

My front Shockers are shagged and I'm tossing up what to do. I want to lift it... but wasn't planning on springs and shocks yet.... but might have to.

I think I will probably go with Brown's springs and 2" longer Bilsteins... but like Andrew said..$$$$$$$. Everyone tells me the Bilsteins are the ducks nuts... but they do cost.
The longer fronts are around $210 a shock... maybe I'll just wait and see how you guys go first...

I have a set of DII rear shocks (900klms only) sitting in the shed and a pair of D90 Extreme rear shocks (near new).

FREE!! You just need to come get em or work out the freight.

I'd definately side step the Ranchos, been there twice - I'm a slow learner. Bilsteins have been excellent for me.

Gotta agree with Slunnie on the Ranchos mine a shagged already, as for the Bilstiens gotta disagree here, aspecially if your going to do any outback touring carrying a load, been through 2 sets of Bilsteins now and the 3rd are shagged now, both times replaced under warrenty, so can't complain about after sales service.

Konis or Tough Dogs will be next i feel, when dollars are available.
