One reason Ian earned his Mod status. Well said.
So, to avoid speculation, here are the charges against the Porsche driver and confirmation the truck driver had a 'medical episode'.
Also, the story doesn't actually say the photos were of bodies, but it does say they were 'graphic'.
Terrible situation.

Porsche driver charged with multiple offences as Melbourne lit in blue to pay tribute to killed police officers - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)
Latest on the Truck Driver from SKY is that he experienced an "Epileptic Fit" & the truck supposedly crossed three lanes of Traffic before colliding. [bighmmm]
Not my Speculation just as reported by SKY news this a.m.
According to 7News, Mr Pusey was not in the path of the truck that killed the four officers because he was urinating on the side of the road at the time.
I wonder if they can do him for Exposing himself in a Public Place. AKA having a leak ?Quote:
- Reckless conduct endangering life
- Speeding
- Failing to remain after a drug test
- Failing to render assistance
- Failing to exchange details
- Possessing a drug of dependence
- Destruction of evidence
- Three counts of committing an indictable offence while on bail
Probably ok to do in the olde days when he may have been driving a Bullock Wagon & could **** against the Nearside/off side wheel with impunity, but a Porsche? Doubt it.
If that is all he needs to worry about................ .
Freeways are scary places when there are no breaks in the Armco and safe places to stop out of the traffic stream.
Perhaps this tragedy will precipitate a revision in the design parameters.
Cheers
Melbourne Freeway tragedy: Porsche driver faces several charges
Apparently not a very nice person to know by some accounts in fACT SOUNDS LIKE HE WAS REAL BASTARD.. Sounds like he should have been one to do the deep six & not the cops. I hope he gets pushed down the Station stairs. Frequently.
I suspect that is a bit of a media beatup but who knows - normally when I suspect is arrested at the roadside, they are made to sit on the grass/ hill whatever off the side of the road while the scene is being processed - this is done to keep them out of the way and for their own safety - so it would seem that this is why he was lucky to escape - it is just a shame that the low life was not handcuffed to the back of the Porsche and would have done society a favour.
RIP Police Officers - you were only doing your jobs and should have be able to go home safely from your shift.

Just did One of the toughest things I have done today. Took flowers and card to the family.
I ran, swam or rode with one of the Police offices or family members several times a week. Even did a TIN man event with the IRONMAN. Most of the family are Ironman and triathlon short and long course experts and make my marathons look like a walk in the Park.
Feeling gutted for the families and the police officers
The BLUE Respect on Multiple Melbourne last night was a appropriate mark.

But usually the ARMCO is no higher than say, knee high. Tall enough for 'er indoors to scale with a Front Somersault whilst clinging to her Hand Bag. The killer dillers I see on th M1 are the wire cable x3 type, just right to separate a motor cyclist in a slide situation from his Left & Right torso beginning at the Crotch.
