No stress Mick- go at your pace is my running moto. I am not a stress head with caravans or camper trailers. I also love LOW RANGE when needed[thumbsupbig]
Love than the Disco has the power to over take when it is safe to pass.
A mate was once a fireman on the long demolished Blackall-Yaraka branch line. One weekly train, a passenger carriage, couple of goods wagons, guards van, and a camp wagon. He told me it was customary to stop the train on the bridge over the Barcoo channels and do some fishing. Lines made available to passengers.
Another incident was reported the other day on the NSW Police face book page. The Highway patrol car had pulled over a motorist in the Blue Mountains for a breath test. They were rear ended by a Land Rover Discovery whilst talking to the driver. They appear ok.
Some sick troll posted on there " too bad it wasn't a truck", makes me angry that there are people out there with these sort of thoughts and hatred towards police.
The irony is that they would probably forget those thoughts very quickly if they needed urgent Police assistance. The cops can't win whatever they do.
The daughter got road raged by an idiot in a ute towing a trailer on Thursday night. She was in a 100kmh zone and he got right up on her bumper. Then they went into an 80 zone so she slowed to 80 and he got really agitated, flashing his lights and giving her the finger repeatedly.
Feeling intimidated, she pulled into a servo to fill up, thinking the presence of CCTV would deter him. Instead he pulled in beside her and abused her. She said nothing and went inside.
He came in, paid for his fuel, abused her again and drove off, tyres squealing.
The thing is, she was obeying the speed limits and he was behaving like a total tool. Some people really are genetic errors.
The danger she was in could have forced her into doing something that she wouldn't normally do & prove fatal.
Sound like an Ice Addict here that caused the recent death of a female Police Superintendent, as well as a woman in an adjacent car. A Scotch College Student apparently. I wonder if he has tripped up going down the stairs at the Watch House yet?
Drivers like Politicians all should have a Psyco test before licence renewal/sitting in Parliament.
And in Victoria, a lot of the yobs think that keep right applies to any multi-lane road, whereas the rule actually says:
"When driving on any multi-lane road with a speed limit over 80km/h, you must keep out of the right lane unless:
- you are overtaking or turning right, or
- all lanes are congested.
If the right lane is a transit lane, this rule applies to the lane immediately to the left of the transit lane."
There are multi-lane roads in Melbourne - including the Calder Highway and along the Peninsula - where the speed limit is 80km/h. I've had idiots literally on my bumper, flashing lights etc, when I'm obeying the road rules and the speed limit. If the road was uncrowded I'd move into the left lane anyway, but in those areas there's not only heavy traffic (apart from during pandemics) but because of the housing developments there's lots of vehicles turning off from the left lane. So through traffic ends up in the right lane - which is legal.
