Spirit of Tasmania to move it's victorian Port to Corio Bay

Haven't been on it yet, will it make a difference?

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

I have been to Tasmania half a dozen times in the last decade or so.
The toughest part of the whole trip s trying to find a park at Port Melbourne.
Anything that improves the parking situation has got to be better than the current situation.
As well as that our last trip was delayed for quite some time because a cruise ship was tied up at the wharf. I think it was being restocked with food.

An extra hours drive, unless you're coming from the southwest. Is the whiskey distillery still there?
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

I think it's a great move, there's been talk for a long time that the Ferry operators were unhappy with several issues pertaining to the current Station Pier, & proposed increased costs, which costs I note are mentioned in the link.
I think it's a great idea, it'll get more people into Regional Victoria, and as has been mentioned, without the traffic/parking issues currently being encountered.

    Yay!
Anywhere but Melbourne CBD. It is terrifying!
Scary West Gate or through the city, what a choice.

Much better site than Station Pier IMV. The boat doesn't just cater for tourists and travellers. There is a fair amount of goods traffic as well, and Port Melb is no longer really the place for that. Sure, there is an added time to the drive as Ian says, but that is outweighed by the time the boat takes to get in. Win win.
