Ian, the flex plate is actually a freebie. Just a thankyou for all your behind the scenes organising, and generous nature!🙂.
(Actually, did it turn up yet?)
I also vote for a battery for the EpicDragonchariot

That wasn't part of the deal Justin!
I believed you were letting me have it at your cost, a gesture I truly appreciated.
You said you would give me your bank details when you got the invoice. I feel cheated!
I spent a couple of enjoyable hours on the phone to Rick this morning, he didn't have anything good to say about you, either.
Thank you Justin, I am genuinely grateful of your hospitable gesture. The spirit of the AULRO community never ceases to amaze me.

The plate arrived on Friday, I'll take it, with the ATF to Shane at SBL on Monday. The car was booked in and delivered on Thursday but on arrival there was no space in the workshop. This didn't overly concern me and I told Shane that understood how the best laid plans of mice and men went in a workshop environment.
So far I'm impressed with SBL. Like you Justin, he's not just a mechanic, he's a passionate enthusiasts of the marque. I was particularly impressed with his wife's 90 and its custom, monogrammed leather seats.
Again Justin, many, many thanks. Is there any truth to the rumour that you'll soon be visiting Queensland?
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
You mean the thongs for your feet yes?not the other type of thongs (being from England, my first thought is underwear and not the shoes and them im like oh no haha)

Ron, no Centrelink anywhere then. Pensions claims were made at a post office and unemployment claims made at the Commonwealth Employment Service.
Inala has mellowed since then, Ron. It was an awfully rough suburb. Probably no pub then. Even Riverview has mellowed.
Everyone had jobs in the 1960's but the unemployment shock of the mid 1970's ripped the heart out of tough working class suburbs like Inala and Woodridge. They changed from proud blue collar suburbs to welfare ghettos.

Yeah, we moved back to St Marys (NSW) from Inala in 1965 (my parents moved earlier than me, I had to finish Senior so stayed with Aunt/Uncle in Calamvale.)
