non- nuclear?
What the hell is happening here?
Original price approx $50billion and first deliveries mid 20's
Cost went to $80billion last year.
Cost has gone up by $10billion in last 6 mths to $90billion.
They won't start building them for another 4yrs now.
Isn't it time we told France to **** off.
I guarantee the United States could deliver brand new state of the art subs cheaper and earlier than we'll ever get these ones off the French.
And they won't dictate to us how much build involvement we can supply.
It's time to have a quick chat to Trumpy, cancel the French agreement , suck it up for the contract breach and show the cocky French they just can't **** us around like this.

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food
A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking
I was led to believe the yanks could build a non nuclear submarines.
I didn't know they had none in their fleets.
The US ones don't have flyscreens like the French ones.

It'd be the new state of the art Croissant warmers, Baguette machines & below ground temperature controlled Wine cellars that have done it. Simples.
Whether we want them or not.![]()
After Rimpac exercises with the RAN Oberons , and not being able to find them, the Americans realised they had to exercise more with conventional submarines in the littoral. in fact one of their Carriers had her bottom photographed, the photo's presented to a US Admiral at the Rimpac washup as proof. Since then, Swedish and Australian conventional submarines have been exercising with the US fleet to bring them up to speed. And US Navy nuclear submarines exercise with the Collins class off the W.A. coast, beneficial to both navies. Here is a little video of a Collins class exercising with the US Navy.

Forgive my ignorance on matters military.
Australia is the world's largest non-nuclear powered aircraft carrier.
Why do we need submarines?
