    Nostalgia - Used cars

Imagine what some of these beauties would be worth now. Prices seem cheap but that was a lot of money in those days .

See your van and raise you a Doormobile, Jerry.

    Hello from Brisbane.

In 1975 I purchased a new XB Falcon ute with the “country pack” (HD battery and radiator, laminated screen, sump guard, gearbox guard and limited slip differential) plus bucket seats and four speed floor shift for the princely sum of $3963. The $63 was extra for the tonneau cover and cigarette lighter.

Two years previously the price would have been about $1500 less, these being the “Whitlam years”. A Mini Moke cost around $700 new about then.

    Cheers,

    Neil

My uncle had one of those with the buttons in the dash.

From memory it had a few issues at first but was ok after that.
