It also works if you plug in the URL for a page, and it grabs the images from that page. I haven't tried it with a URL on the archive site yet. i'm going to try now.

worked for me - entered the ULR from the old site and uploaded.
is it possible to do mass uploads this way - currently only 1 by 1
