Good luck Macman, we were there recently and left, having done the museum the art gallery and the Southbank thing in a few hours.

Why not try and get a ride with the GCLRO for one of their runs?
Where's Oakey? You doing an ag show (as in on the stand?)

Got it! suss out the customers and see what they come up with....

    Cheers, GQ

I'm a bit far from Brissy or I'd say g'day.

    Hi MacMan,

Are you driving your LR up here? or hire car?

Hire car. Taken the Disco before for trips into NSW but I am flying up. The best bit about hiring is that I'll find one with sat nav so everything is dreamy. Not like trying to navigate ****ney in the Disco with a UBD on my lap.

There will be some evenings spent in Oakey with the people whose stand I am working on, but I have a feeling they might get a shock when they meet me. Most people say in this order:

OH, I thought you were older!

    and:

    Jeeeeez you are tall!

I have no idea what we'll have in common!

How would I get in touch with GCLRO regarding the weekend?

Mate, you're going to the country! It's not so dangerous and I'm sure you'll find all sorts of fascinating characters. Just maybe, go with the flow and enjoy what you may find. And don't wear black or a tie, as in the suit, the locals may treat you with some suspicion.

(Thanks for the location, disconut, got it).

Going to make an appearance at PRIMEX in Casino mid June, Macman? I figure these big country ag shows do the rounds..Gunnedah must be coming up soon...(Black suits are definitely not de riguer in Casino).

If you're young you may find some nice locals who will take you under their wing and treat you to all sorts of activities, like maybe circle work and scones....

How about a report of your impending trip to the bush?
Dunno if you're into ag stuff, but having lived right in the city for years, I love the ag shows - they're a hoot!

    Cheers, GQ

GCLRO are here on this site btw.
