When I was a brat , my mum would tie a mutton chop around my neck so the dog would play with me.
Then a brother came along, and we did have little farms , and wooden tractors , can’t remember anything as flash as a painted toy.
Had a Tonka loader back in the late 70’s - like this one. Was my most prized possession at the time. Can’t even remember what happened to it.8694DC9E-4E2C-471A-9E15-877F9E58E6F1.jpg
Mate had the truck so hours of fun in the sandpit was had. 😊👍

Well. Tins, it was probably better than a gut shot swamp hen ,
Epic, the Matchbox logo stamped into the headboard of your truck, was in use by 1973.
That doesn't narrow down much information, but it does raise the possibility that it's been around longer than you!![]()
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

Taking the pictures reminded me how it used to frustrate me (as an 8 year old) that the Tonka and Buddy L were at different scales. I'm pretty sure I've got a Buddy L scraper somewhere as well. That might be tomorrow's search mission
